Founded in 1980, Living Word Christian Center is a local, nondenominational church in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, led by Pastors Mac and Lynne Hammond. After 29 years, Living Word's church attendance has grown from twelve people to an active church body of more than 10,000 members.
The broad vision articulated on that Sunday morning in 1980 has changed very little in the many intervening years. Many parts of it have been realized. Other parts are now coming into manifestation. Much remains to be prayed out and walked out.
At the core of that vision is a heart to reach the Twin Cities and beyond with the life-transforming love of Jesus Christ. It's a vision more and more individuals each week are making their own by becoming a part of the exciting and close-knit family at Living Word Christian Center.
